Christopher Moore

Christopher Moore has a diverse work experience in the field of physics and education. Christopher is currently serving as the Chair of the Physics Department and the Director of the STEM TRAIL Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In addition, they hold the position of Dr. George F. Haddix Community Chair of Physical Science and is a Professor of Physics at the same university. Prior to this, Christopher was an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Coastal Carolina University. Christopher also worked as an Author for Savvas Learning Co, where they co-authored high school curricula in chemistry and physics. Christopher's experience also includes being a Fulbright Scholar in Physics Education at Charles University in Prague and serving on the Advisory Board to the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Christopher started their academic career as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Longwood University.

Christopher Moore began their education in 1997 at Guilford College, where they studied Physics and Religious Studies until 1999. From 1999 to 2000, they attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Christopher then pursued further education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics from 2000 to 2002. Lastly, Christopher Moore completed their education at Virginia Commonwealth University by earning a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics, which was a program they enrolled in from 2004 to 2007.
