Jaclyn Gutterman

Jaclyn Gutterman has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Jaclyn began their career in 2012 as a Middle School Science Teacher at the Laboratory Charter School of Communication and Languages. From 2015 to 2017, they taught Biology at the Southeast Delco School District. In 2017, Jaclyn transitioned into a role as a Science Content Writer at RocketLit (formerly BirdBrain Education). Jaclyn then joined Pearson in 2017 as a Science Editor, where they stayed until 2019. Jaclyn continued their work as a Science Editor at Pearson K-12 Learning from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Jaclyn holds the position of Senior Science Editor at Savvas Learning Company, starting in May 2020.

Jaclyn Gutterman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Chemistry from the State University of New York at Oswego, which they obtained in 2010. Jaclyn later pursued a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Widener University, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, Jaclyn has obtained various instructional certifications, including an Instructional Certification in Biological Sciences from the New Jersey Department of Education in 2017, an Instructional II Teaching Certificate in 7-12 Biology from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 2012, and an Instructional II Teaching Certificate in Mid-Level Science 6-9, also from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 2012.
