Eric Burmester

Eric Burmester is the Vice President of Engineering at SawStop, a position held since 2023. Previously, Eric served as the Director of Advanced Development at SawStop and held multiple roles at Oregon Tool, including Director of Advanced Development and Project Management. With extensive experience in engineering and product development, Eric has worked as a System Leader and Senior Engineer at Cummins, Inc., and has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Eric earned a Master of Business Administration and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
