Mark McCully

Mark McCully has extensive work experience in the field of modern data center engineering and infrastructure management. Mark is currently serving as the Director of Modern Data Center Engineering at Sayers, where they lead the company's practice in designing enterprise-class, hybrid-cloud infrastructure. Mark has more than 20 years of experience in this field and specializes in various areas such as public, private, and multi-cloud solutions, compute and storage, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, automation, observability, containers, data protection, virtualization, and hyper-converged infrastructure.

Prior to their current role, Mark worked as a Senior Solutions Architect at Sayers, where they focused on helping customers evaluate and integrate modern data center platforms. Mark has a unique perspective in this role, having previously served as a technical infrastructure director in a large healthcare technology organization.

Before joining Sayers, Mark worked at Vizient, Inc as the Director of Infrastructure and Lead Product/Service Owner. In this role, they were responsible for architecting and managing the company's hybrid-cloud infrastructure, with a focus on automation, observability, security, performance, and high availability. Their responsibilities included virtualization, networking, compute, storage, containers, data protection, security patch management, Active Directory, and data center services.

Mark also has previous experience working as the Manager of Infrastructure and Principal Administrator at Vizient, Inc, as well as the Senior Network Administrator at both Vizient, Inc and The Spectrum Group.

Prior to these roles, Mark worked as a Senior Consultant at Intrinsic Technologies.

Mark McCully earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Eastern Illinois University, attending from 1993 to 1997.
