David Miller

David Miller is the current Legal Director at Sayers. Prior to this, they were the Group Head of Legal, Regional Hub - Oceania at Asahi Beverages from September 2020 to April 2022. In this role, David supported Corporate Development (M&A/JVs), Sustainability & Procurement (contracts, vendor management), Supply Chain (strategic projects, IR), and IT/Digital (RFx/tenders, BPO, cloud and software licensing, privacy and data protection).

From November 2017 to August 2020, David was the Associate Director - Legal (Senior Legal Counsel) at Carlton & United Breweries. In this role, they supported Strategy (M&A/JVs), Finance (banking, controls, tax and treasury), Company Secretary (corporate governance and board administration), ZX Ventures (CUB’s ventures arm focused on innovation/disruptive growth in the beverage category, including tech, eCommerce, retail expansion and stand-alone acquired businesses).

Prior to their roles at Asahi Beverages and Carlton & United Breweries, David was a Lawyer at Telstra from September 2016 to March 2017 and Herbert Smith Freehills from August 2015 to November 2017. David began their career as a Research Assistant / Law Clerk / Paralegal at Thomson Geer from November 2011 to July 2012.

David Miller completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Monash University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Monash University. David also studied Chinese Language (Mandarin) at Shanghai International Studies University.
