Scott Burch

Scott Burch is a seasoned professional in the drilling industry, currently serving as CEO and Sr. Technical Advisor at SB Directional Services since May 2014. Under Scott's leadership, significant advancements have been made, including reducing drilling time for Newfield from 3 days to 12 hours and achieving record-breaking wells in the Stack, Scoop, and Springer Shale. Prior to this role, Scott was a Sr Directional Driller and Directional Supervisor at Scientific Drilling from January 2006 to May 2014, where extended reach laterals were achieved in Marcellus Shale, resulting in significant cost savings. Earlier in Scott's career, from January 2002 to December 2005, as a Directional Driller and Drilling Superintendent at Akerman Directional Drilling, oversight of global directional and horizontal wells led to the drilling of the longest lateral section ever completed in Australia at 11,000 feet.
