HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
The SB Group history dates back to 1977 from humble beginnings, founded by the late Mr. Toh Sue Bee. The Group started off as a trading entity. In 1988, SB Group gradually expanded from an import and distribution business to a large-scale manufacturing entity of self-adhesive tapes. In its subsequent phases of its growth, SB Group successfully reaped the results of its R&D efforts and was able to organize resources, manufacturing expertise and marketing strategy for its entry into direct manufacturing. 

By 1995, SB Group had already achieved a position of leadership and recognition for its quality in the ribbons and adhesive tapes industry in Malaysia and Asia. Today the group with a total workforce of more than 500 staff and turnover of over RM400 million annually, its products are exported to over 60 countries around the globe through its fast expansion of its distribution network and partnership.

CAPITALIZING ON GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES
SB Group has gone through substantial transformation and today it is ranked as Asia’s leading manufacturers of adhesive tapes and ribbon products. Growth has been turbulent and challenging, exacting a heavy price on its’ initial limited resources and infrastructure. SB Group’s existence today largely reflects the strong willpower, determination and capacity of the hard work of the Founder and its pioneering team.

CORPORATE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM (CTP)
In the Year 2011, SB Group have set out Group’s new Vision to be Asia No.1 OPP Tape Producer by the Year 2015 and World No.1 OPP tape Producer by the Year 2020. The CTP set  as a new development strategy towards spearheading the Group towards the year 2020 which moves into an era of enhancing greater product positioning, manufacturing efficiency, employer and employee relationships and future business expansion plans which will bring SB Group to greater heights.
