Jeff Smithson

Jeff Smithson, CPA, currently serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager at the State Board of Administration of Florida, overseeing external management of over $40 billion in assets and leading risk analysis for more than $80 billion in equity assets. Previously, Jeff held positions as a Portfolio Manager and Manager of Finance and Accounting at the Florida Prepaid College Board, where responsibilities included qualitative and quantitative analyses of investment managers and oversight of a $30 million budget. Earlier experience includes working as an Auditor at the Florida Auditor General, conducting various audits and risk analyses. Jeff obtained both a Master of Accounting in Assurance and Advisory Services and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University.
