The mission of SC Career kids is to provide opportunities for children to explore careers and through hands-on experiences at an early age. We believe in nurturing relationships where students engage with experts of their industry or skill set. 

A program where South Carolina's talent pipeline and workforce development begins, SC Career Kids starts with the end in mind. We nurture the skill-set that makes the 21st century graduate a successful, contributing member of the community. We seize the crucial years of a child’s brain development with career exposure and soft skills acquisition through purposeful experiential learning.

"Critical needs" jobs account for 45% of today's workforce, yet only
29% of people have the necessary skills to fill these jobs.
The overwhelming consensus among South Carolina employers is
that too many of our state's graduates lack critical thinking skills and
the ability to communicate effectively, solve problems creatively,
work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities. SC Career Kids
is dedicated to partnering with the state, community, and industry to
cultivate our children to grow a more robust workforce. The need is
tremendous.
