Scala4 is a specialist in modernising as well applications as application development and maintenance environments currently hosted on z/OS and related technical platforms.

The value we provide for our customers is cost reduction through modernization of tools used for maintenance, testing and re-development of legacy systems, not to mention migrating them from costly mainframe processing environments to powerful Windows, Unix or Linux environments.

While cost saving potential of migrating off mainframe is considerable, the risk using the Scala4 experience combined with well proven purpose dedicated tools is far lower than anticipated by our customers. Our project model is also oriented towards revealing and mitigating risk at a very early stage and provide accurate time and cost estimates as the first step of the project.

A typical timeframe for migrating a large mainframe application to LUW is typically 6-9 months while replacement projects tends to take 6-10 times that time and have a similar cost ratio, not to mention the risk. The cost saving potential is 90% of annual technical environment cost with an average of close to 80%. The payback time for the project is normally less than two years.

Contact us today to learn more about how you can reduce cost, improve accessibility to your information from various platforms, reduce application maintenance cost by 40-60%, publis new services and features in one third of the time it takes today.
