Alejandro Planas

Alejandro Planas has held a variety of roles in the technology sector since 1993. Alejandro began their career at HBO Latin America as a Project Engineer in 1993, followed by a Senior Field Engineer role at Motorola Solutions in 1995. In 1999, they became a Franchise Owner and Operating Director at Locatel Venezuela, and was later promoted to IT Director and Member of the Locatel Board of Directors in 2006. Most recently, they have served as CEO and Co-founder of Escala 24x7 Inc. since 2012.

Alejandro Planas completed their Engineer degree in Electronic Engineering at Universidad Simón Bolívar between 1988 and 1993. Alejandro then went on to pursue a Finance Master at IESA between 2001 and 2003. In 2022, they obtained a FinOps Certified Practitioner certification from the FinOps Foundation. Alejandro also holds two certifications from Amazon Web Services, namely the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate.
