Andy Smith

Andy recently retired as a full-time member of the Army National Guard. His last duty as an IT Instructor was beyond rewarding for him. Connecting with new students in each class and knowing that both sides received value from the experience was the part of the job he appreciated the most. He loves helping people and improving processes, so coming to work for Scale Technology was a great next step for his abilities. The focus of his work is the same in business as it was in the military: Entertain the audience, facilitate a knowledge transfer, get feedback, and evaluate.

Andy believes in making the best out of a situation and finding the expert in everyone. He’s learning every day that active listening is an underrated skill.

Andy comes with 31 years of experience in the military, leadership training, and Instructor training. He enjoys helping other people resolve their problems.

Andy has more than 10+ years of experience in his field. He likes letting people know they have been heard and that they have a voice in the matter at hand. He hears the problem areas by active listening.
