Erik Maung

Erik Maung is a Technical Advisor of Generative AI at Scale AI since November 2024, specializing in refining frontier models and optimizing system design related to generative AI technology. Previously, at OpenAI from October 2022 to June 2025, Maung trained interactive model data, focusing on enhancing AI responses for various prompts. Experience also includes roles as a Software Engineer Intern at Hyperlink, where generative AI applications were developed, and as a Frontend Web Developer at Paraillel, implementing AI dashboard wireframes. Additionally, Maung interned at UCLA Health, conducting computational data analysis on RNA-Seq data related to cardiometabolic disorders. Maung holds a Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematics from UCLA and is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
