Gunnar Thoroddsen is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and deep learning. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Scale AI since November 2021, Gunnar previously held senior engineering positions at SiaSearch and Merantix, where contributions focused on building trust in intelligent autonomous systems. At Marel, from June 2012 to October 2018, Gunnar was the Deep Learning Technical Lead, responsible for advancing deep learning applications for computer vision, and also held a role as an Embedded Programmer. Gunnar holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Háskóli Íslands, earned between 2009 and 2012.
