Patrick Oathout

Patrick Oathout is an AI Safety Leader and Army veteran currently overseeing Scale AI's Red Team and Safety workforce. They previously served as an Armor Officer in the US Army, where they led a highly effective tank platoon and published insights on robotic military platforms. Patrick began their career as a consultant at Bain & Company, co-launching new practices and managing significant investment strategies. They also contributed to education as an English teacher for refugees and a Fulbright Fellow, teaching students on the Greek National Debate Team. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Public Policy from Duke University.
