Sumana Basu

Sumana Basu is an AI consultant at Scale AI since October 2024, previously serving as a research intern at Microsoft from June to August 2023 and as an AI research intern at Meta from January to October 2019, where involvement in the fastMRI Active Acquisition project focused on expediting MRI acquisition processes using reinforcement learning was notable. Sumana Basu also worked as a teaching assistant at AI4Good Lab between May and July 2020. Currently pursuing a PhD at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, anticipated completion in 2025, with a focus on reinforcement learning, following a master's degree in machine learning from McGill University (2016-2018).
