Nikhil Sama

Nikhil Sama has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Nikhil is the founder and CEO of ScaleOps.AI, a company that focuses on generating high-quality labeled datasets for artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. They offer a full-service data labeling platform along with a trained workforce to deliver data enrichment projects efficiently.

Additionally, Nikhil also served as a seed investor and director at Ocrolus, a document automation platform that automates credit decisions in the fintech, mortgage, and banking industries. Nikhil was responsible for providing document analysis infrastructure to customers and played a crucial role in raising over $100 million in funding.

Nikhil has also held leadership positions at InCred - Borrow. With Confidence. and InstaPaisa, where they served as the CEO and managing director. InCred is a consumer finance company, while InstaPaisa is an instant online personal loan platform.

Before venturing into the startup world, Nikhil gained experience working in the corporate sector. Nikhil was the founder and managing director of SnapLion, a company that operated during 2013-2015. Prior to that, they worked as a director at Rocket Internet GmbH, evaluating and executing seed stage investment opportunities in the consumer internet space in India. Nikhil also incubated several Rocket Internet investments during their tenure.

Before their entrepreneurial endeavors, Nikhil worked as a senior consultant at Bain & Company, a management consulting firm, from 2008-2011. Nikhil also held positions at Packet Design, a telecom equipment vendor, and Nexsi Systems, a telecom equipment vendor funded by Sequoia Capital, where they worked as a software engineer. Nikhil began their career as a software engineer at Cisco Systems.

Nikhil Sama completed their high school education at St. Columba's School from 1982 to 1995. After that, they attended Delhi College of Engineering from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical Engineering. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Data Networking from the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2000. Lastly, they attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Nikhil'sMBA program had a focus on Organizational Behaviour, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
