Dan Fox

Dan Fox has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dan is currently the Director of Cybersecurity Services at ScalePad, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded ControlMap Inc in 2020, which was later acquired by ScalePad in 2023. At ControlMap, they focused on revolutionizing cybersecurity compliance across different frameworks.

In 2021, Dan worked as a Product Manager consultant at Great Notion Brewing, where they helped enhance the online/app experience. Dan also served as a Strategic Advisor at Lend Some Money from June to November 2022.

Before their current roles, Dan held significant positions at Carbonite and Webroot. Dan joined Carbonite in 2019 as a Senior Product Manager, leading their cybersecurity awareness-as-a-service. Carbonite was later acquired by OpenText in December 2019. Prior to Carbonite, Dan worked at Webroot as a Senior Product Manager. Dan joined Webroot through their acquisition of Securecast, a company they co-founded and served as the CEO. Securecast was later acquired by Webroot in 2017.

Dan's earlier experience includes working at Smarsh as the Director of Sales Engineering and InfoSec from 2011 to 2017, where they developed information security policies and managed the SSAE16 SOC2 audit process. Dan also served as the Director of Technology and Information Security in the early team at Smarsh. Before Smarsh, Dan worked as a Systems Administrator at Alain Pinel Realtors and Milestone Technologies, Inc.

Dan Fox has a diverse education background in computer/information technology administration, business management, and business administration. Dan attended the Oregon Institute of Technology where they pursued a degree in General Studies with a focus on Computer/Information Technology Administration and Business Management. Additionally, they studied Business Administration and Management at Mission College and Information Technology at Portland Community College.

Dan also completed their high school education at Santa Clara High School, where they received a High School degree in General Studies. Furthermore, they obtained a Diploma in Information Technology from Technical College San Jose.

In terms of certifications, Dan has achieved the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from Infosec in January 2012.
