Lewis Dutton

Lewis Dutton is the Client Success Director at ScalingFunds. Lewis has over five years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on transfer agency and private equity.

Lewis started their career at VISTRA in 2015 as a Senior Transfer Agent. In this role, they were responsible for the Transfer Agency functions of international Private Equity, Real Estate, and Hedge Fund clients (non-UCITS), including AML/KYC and investor on-boarding in collaboration with compliance and the client. Lewis also reviewed and approved capital call and distribution supporting documentation on RE and PE funds, supervised and reviewed the Hedge Fund share dealing process, including oversight of contract note creation and subsequent cash flows, and maintained and reviewed share registers across all fund types. In addition, they assisted, trained, and supervised direct FTE and PTE team members, and interacted with the legal, accounting, compliance, depository, and AIFM teams as well as directly with the clients, directors, senior management, and investors themselves whenever necessary.

In 2019, Lewis became the Associate Team Leader - Transfer Agency at VISTRA. In this role, they were interim Team Leader from June 2019 to September 2020. Their responsibilities included audit coordination and Financial Reporting, such as the review of prepared financial statements, ISAE 3402 and internal audits, Fund client migrations between administrators, Ongoing regulatory/tax reporting including FATCA and CRS, the review of Hedge Fund NAVs, and systems migrations on accounting and TA.

Lewis joined ScalingFunds as the Client Success Director in 2021. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the success of ScalingFunds' clients. Lewis works closely with the sales team to ensure that clients are satisfied with ScalingFunds' products and services and that their needs are being met. Lewis is also responsible for developing new strategies to help ScalingFunds' clients grow their businesses.

Lewis Dutton has a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Modern Languages from the University of the West of England. Lewis also has an Erasmus Year from ESB Business School, Reutlingen University. Lewis is certified from THE TEFL ACADEMY - Leading EFL Teacher Trainer Provider in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
