Peter Symonds has extensive work experience in the field of research and laboratory management. Peter started their career as a Research Technician at the University of Nottingham in 2000, where they conducted independent research on the actions of Endothelial Monocyte Activating Polypeptide II (EMAP-II).

In 2005, Peter moved on to become a Proteomics Research Technician at the University of Nottingham Sutton Bonnington Campus. In this role, they managed three laboratories and specialized in using gel techniques to identify and isolate proteins for sequencing.

From 2007 to 2009, Peter served as a Research Technician in the Cancer Immunology group at the University of Nottingham's Oncology department. Peter'sresponsibilities included screening colorectal cell lines for defects in the IFNy pathway and producing diagnostic and therapeutic monoclonal antibodies against MRSA.

In 2009, Peter joined Scancell Limited as a Senior Research Technician. Peter conducted in-vivo vaccinations, molecular biology, and in vitro immunological cell assays. Peter also played a key role in supporting a phase 1/2 clinical trial for the company's melanoma vaccine.

Over the years, Peter progressed within Scancell Limited and took on multiple roles including Laboratory Manager, Research Scientist, Biological Safety Officer, and Radiation Protection Supervisor. Peter'sresponsibilities included coordinating between Scancell Limited and the University of Nottingham, developing and managing tumor models for therapeutic anti-tumor models, and overseeing safety committees.

Peter Symonds completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) hons in Genetics from Newcastle University, studying from 1995 to 1998. Peter then pursued a PGDip in Clinical Biochemistry, focusing on Genetics, from Newcastle University between 1998 and 1999.
