Bernard Acquah started their work experience as a Software Engineer at Internet Trading Systems Ltd in 1993. Bernard then moved on to become a Software Developer at Bankers Trust in 1995. After that, they worked as a Senior IT Consultant at Credit Suisse Financial Products from 1997 to 1999. Bernard then joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a Consultant Project Manager from 1999 to 2000. Bernard Acquah then became a Senior Consultant at MINT Global Consulting from 2000 to 2001. Bernard then worked as the Head of Infrastructure Development at ABBEY NATIONAL TREASURY SERVICES PLC from 2001 to 2004. After that, they became an Executive Director at WestLB from 2004 to 2009. Bernard Acquah then worked as the Group Head of IT at UT Holdings from 2009 to 2012. Following that, they became the Chief Information Officer at Vodafone from 2012 to 2019. Currently, Bernard Acquah holds the position of Chief Information Officer at MTN Ghana since 2019.

Bernard Acquah obtained an MBA in Finance from Cass Business School from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a BSc (Hons) 1st Class in Computer Science from Kingston University, completing their degree from 1987 to 1991. Bernard attended Haywards Heath Sixth Form College from 1984 to 1986 and the Irwin Academy in 1983. Their secondary education was at Mfantsipim School from 1980 to 1983. Bernard Acquah also holds additional certifications, including being a Certified IT Professional (CITP) from the British Computer Society, a Certified Prince 2 Practitioner from APMG, and a Fellow (FBCS) with the British Computer Society. Bernard is also a Member of the Association of MBAs and a Member (MIEEE) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
