Marcelo Catelan

Marcelo Catelan serves as the Head of Connected, Autonomous and Embedded Systems at Scania Group since August 2000, where responsibilities include defining the strategic vision and managing a team of over 30 engineers in hardware, software, firmware, and security. Previous roles at Scania include Manager of R&D Trucks Chassis Development with global oversight of critical systems, Head of Quality Engineering Trucks focused on resolving production deviations, Production Leader managing large assembly teams, and Production Engineer facilitating the introduction of new engine technologies. Marcelo's career began at Indústria Metalplástica Irbas, working in various roles including Tool Maker and Mechanic. Marcelo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Santa Cecília and completed training at Senai institutions in São Paulo.
