Thomas Westerlund

Thomas Westerlund serves as the Head of People and Culture for Production, Procurement, and Logistics at Scania Group, overseeing the global workforce of approximately 20,000 employees since June 1998. Westerlund has held various leadership roles, including Head of Attract and Recruit, where responsibilities included managing recruitment strategies and handling redundancy processes. Additional roles encompass Head of Resourcing, Manager of Future Skills Supply, and Management positions within Human Resources across multiple production units. Involved in educational and professional development, Westerlund is a board member of Mälardalens Tekniska Gymnasium, Telge Tillväxt, and Södertälje Science Park, as well as a guest lecturer at Stockholms universitet. Prior experience includes consulting at SUTAB Konsult AB and technical roles at Ericsson, complemented by military service as a Group Commander. Westerlund holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organisation & Management from Uppsala University and a Technical High School degree in Engineering.
