Alfredo Celedon

Alfredo (Al) Celedon has a diverse work experience in the field of molecular diagnostics and academia. Alfredo (Al) is the Founder and CEO of Scanogen, a molecular diagnostic company focused on developing systems to improve healthcare through biomolecular information. Alfredo (Al) pioneered the development of Single MOLecule Tethering (SMOLT), a proprietary technology for rapid and sensitive biomolecule detection. Additionally, Al Celedon served as a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins University from 2012 to 2014. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, where they secured funding and led projects exploring the application of magnetic nanoparticles to study genetic mutations at the cellular level.

Alfredo (Al) Celedon has a Ph.D in Bioengineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained between 2005 and 2009.
