Brian James

Brian James has over 30 years of work experience, starting with their role as a Sales Representative at NCR Corporation in 1990. Brian then worked as an Operations Officer at Sacramento Savings Bank before moving on to First Interstate Bank, where they held the position of Financial Services Manager. In 1995, they joined Northern Video Systems Inc, where they gradually rose through the ranks from Marketing Manager to Sales Manager and finally became Vice President. During their time at Northern Video Systems Inc, they played a pivotal role in expanding the company's vendor relationships and creating partnerships that helped it grow into a national leader in systems sales. In 2010, Brian successfully managed the transition from Northern Video Systems to Tri-Ed Distribution after the merger of the two companies. As Senior Vice President at Tri-Ed Distribution, they grew the technical sales business while working closely with the established branch network. In 2013, they moved to Pelco as the Director of Global Channels, where they were responsible for channel programs and key channel partners globally. Most recently, in 2021, Brian joined ScanSource as the Vice President of Sales Networking and Security, leading a team of inside and outside sales professionals to achieve the division's and the company's goals.

Brian James attended California State University-Sacramento from 1988 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing.
