We are a UK registered charity, raising funds for the trailblazing Greig City Academy (GCA) sailing programme. We also help other schools and sailing bodies benefit from their experience.

GCA’s Sailing Programme is the UK’s leading school sailing programme. Since 2014, it has inspired and supported 1,000 students from an inner-city London state school to get involved in sailing, transforming many of their lives and opportunities as a result.

GCA was the first ever state school to compete in and finish the Fastnet race in 2017. They repeated the feat in 2019, and built up their programme, to take five boats to Cowes Week in 2021 and 2022. They compete at national level in ILCA (Laser) dinghies and international level with the Etchells World Championships. They run a dedicated programme for girls and also mass participation sailing activities for students, starting on the local reservoir in North London. They have raised the profile of people of colour in the sailing world, and the marine industry more generally, opening doors for them and providing opportunities that have previously been inaccessible.
