Avi Press has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2012 as a Research Assistant at the Computation Cognitive Science Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Pandora. In 2014, they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer at Pandora, where they built the company's first concert recommendation system and the Artist Marketing Platform (AMP). In 2016, they moved to Fraction, where they worked as a Software Engineer, building mobile wallet integrations with Apple Pay / Google Pay to help connect small businesses to their customers. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of Scarf, and also worked as a Software Engineer at Backbone.
Avi Press graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Computer Science.
