Alan Martyn is an applied AI researcher and engineer with expertise in machine learning and software engineering. From 2019 to 2024, they served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Kheiron Medical, where they developed advanced models for cancer detection in mammography, resulting in high-impact publications and a notable product deployment in the NHS. Prior to this, Alan led teams at Amphio, producing several award-winning educational iOS apps, and worked on innovative projects in audio engineering and software development. They are currently the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Scarlet since 2025, continuing their work in applied machine learning. Alan holds a 1st Class Honors degree in Music and Sound Recording from the University of Surrey.
