Marcus S. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Marcus began their career in 1994 as a DBA at Staffordshire Building Society, where they worked until 1997. From there, they moved on to West Bromwich Building Society, where they worked as a DBA from 2001 to 2006. Marcus then joined Taylor Wimpey as an Oracle Analyst (DBA) from 2006 to 2008. Marcus then transitioned to Signet, where they held various roles, including Technical Architect Databases And MI from 2008 to 2010, Technical Architect Server Technologies from 2010 to 2012, and BI Head/Lead from 2012 to 2015. After Signet, Marcus worked at SCC as a Solutions Architect Manager from 2015 to 2018. Following this, they moved to HomeServe as the Head Of Business Intelligence from 2018 to 2019. Currently, Marcus is working at SCC again, first as the Head of Cloud Services from 2019 to 2021, and they are currently serving as the Head of Cloud Platform & Service Development.

Marcus S. graduated with a BSC (Hons) degree in Computer Science from Wolverhampton University in the years 1993 to 1997. Marcus also obtained several certifications in 2023, including Digital Transformation Insights, Unlocking Business Solutions with AI-Powered Analytics, Cultivating Enterprise Agile, Generative AI and Its Impact to Everyday Business, and Harnessing the Power of DevOps, all from Skillsoft.
