Jodee Sousa

Jodee Sousa is the Director of Education & Events at The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS. Previously, they worked as an Event Manager at Hitachi Vantara from March 2017 to October 2017. In this role, Jodee was responsible for Program Management of HITACHI NEXT2017, Hitachi’s first customer focused event. This entailed managing multiple timelines, overseeing a multimillion dollar budget, and working with multiple internal planning groups to ensure deadlines were met and tasks completed.

Jodee has a wealth of experience in event planning and management. Jodee has supported strategic planning for event initiatives, proactively managed event needs while working cross functionally, and maintained planning tools such as budget templates, timelines, production schedules, and other event-related materials. Jodee has also managed user events through all Project and Event Management phases, highlighted risks, documented changes and issues, communicated with Stakeholders, and maintained and tracked budgets. In addition, they have worked cross-functionally across Hitachi teams to provide guidance and support, developed Sponsorship prospectuses and kits to recruit, close and manage logistics, and managed complex, multi-path and type registration processes by working with internal teams to ensure all scenarios were accounted for and ready for attendee use. Jodee is a skilled communicator and collaborator, providing weekly status reports, metric updates and leading team meetings.

Jodee Sousa has a certificate in Meeting and Event Planning from San Francisco State University. Jodee has a BA in Communications from California State University - East Bay. Jodee also has a certification from the Project Management Institute in Project Manager.
