Matthew Nelson

Matthew Nelson is a highly skilled professional with a diverse background in engineering, fabrication, and the arts. Currently serving as an Associate Technical Director at Disney Live Entertainment and an Animatronic Illusion Fabricator at Walt Disney Imagineering, Matthew has made significant contributions to automated show element fabrication and animatronic design. With experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Logistics Coordinator, Matthew has developed expertise in mechanical systems and project coordination. Matthew's fellowship at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center highlights a commitment to social justice in the arts, while roles at MIT and Zenith Insurance Company demonstrate proficiency in artificial intelligence, deep learning, graphic design, and video production coordination.
