Omar Othman

Omar Othman currently serves as the deputy of the general supervisor of the General Directorate for Emergencies and Disaster at the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia since May 2024, and as Regional Program Director at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties since February 2021. Previously, Omar held various leadership positions at the Riyadh first health Cluster from July 2018 to May 2024, including Model of Care Lead for Urgent Care and Emergency Medical Services and Disaster clinical leads. Additionally, from March 2014 to May 2024, roles at King Saud Medical City included Emergency Medicine Physician, Director of Administration, Head of Department, and Program Director. Educational achievements include ongoing leadership studies at Stanford University School of Medicine and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, alongside advanced training in Disaster and Emergency Medical Services at Brown University, and a Saudi board in Emergency Medicine from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. Omar obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from King Saud University.
