Kyle Petersen is an experienced communications professional and freelance writer known for a diverse career in healthcare communications and arts reporting. Since May 2016, Kyle has served as Communications Manager and Healthcare Communications Specialist for the South Carolina Hospital Association. Prior to this role, Kyle operated as a freelance writer focusing on music and arts criticism for various publications, including the Post & Courier and Charleston City Paper. From August 2011 to April 2019, Kyle was an Assistant Editor and Music Editor at Jasper Magazine. Additionally, Kyle has academic experience as an instructor at the University of South Carolina, teaching courses in media studies and composition from August 2010 to May 2016. Kyle's educational background includes a Master of Arts in American Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature, both from the University of South Carolina.

South Carolina Hospital Association is a private, not-for-profit organization made up of some 100 member hospitals and health systems and about 900 personal members associated with our institutional members. The South Carolina Hospital Association was created in 1921 to serve as the collective voice of the state’s hospital community. The Association is proud to be a part of the state’s hospital industry, adding value to hospitals’ efforts to care for the people of South Carolina.
