Chris Hahnel, PE, is a seasoned Project Manager and Design Engineer at Schaefer since October 2016, specializing in wood design for multi-story mixed-use and apartment buildings. Previously, Chris served as a Structural Engineer at LJB Inc., focusing on industrial and commercial projects, including warehouse and office building designs. Chris's early experience includes a teaching assistant role at the University of Cincinnati, where support was provided to undergraduate civil engineering students, and a position as a Civil Engineer EIT at Palmer Engineering, concentrating on highway bridge design. Chris holds a Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's degree in Civil-Structural Engineering from the University of Kentucky, complemented by an honors diploma from Simon Kenton High School.
