John Heck, PE SE, is an experienced structural engineer and project manager with a strong background in engineering design for renewable energy projects. Currently serving as a Project Manager and Structural Engineer at Schaefer since October 2019, John has previously held leadership roles, including President of the Structural Engineers Associate of Arizona - Young Members Group from August 2019 to January 2022. Prior experience includes positions as a Structural Engineer at Simply Structural Inc and Caruso Turley Scott Structural Engineers, as well as a Project Development Engineer at Ameresco, where responsibilities included leading engineering design, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. John holds a Master of Science in Engineering, Construction Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Civil Engineering, both from Arizona State University.
