Alan Omand is the Director of Analytics at Sequoia Heritage Fund. Alan has over fifteen years of experience in the financial sector, working as an IT Associate, Risk Analyst, Consultant, and Economic Research Analyst.

Alan Omand began their career as an Economic Research Analyst at UCLA. Alan then transitioned into the role of IT Consultant at Accenture, where they worked on design documentation and led a development team for the CCSAS/CSE project. After four years at Accenture, Alan Omand became a Risk Analyst at Glenview Capital. In this role, they were responsible for automating and developing daily risk and accounting processes, including pricing, exposure calculations, portfolio variance, beta, and related online reporting functionality. Alan Omand then moved to Harbinger Capital Partners, where they served as Head of software development and was responsible for all internal software applications, including automating daily pricing, interfaces to vendors and admins, and all reporting services. Most recently, Alan Omand has been working as the Director of Analytics at Sequoia Heritage Fund. In this role, they are responsible for leading the fund’s analytical efforts and providing insights to help drive investment decisions.

Alan Omand received a BS in Mathematics/Economics with Computer Specialization from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. Alan also attended Rio Americano High School.

Alan Omand reports to Keith Johnson, Senior Managing Director. They are on a team with Kevin Slemp - Managing Director, Peter Hage - VP, and Martha Rose - General Counsel.
