Operations Assistant at Sequoia Heritage

Kelly Mix is currently an Operations Assistant at Sequoia Heritage Fund. Prior to that, they were a 3rd Grade Teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary School for 10 years and 1 month. During their time as a teacher, Kelly developed and implemented year-long curriculum, created assessments and aligned them with California State Standards and the Archdiocese Curriculum. Kelly also supported students with many learning differences and tailored their education to how they learn best. In addition, Kelly was a member of the WASC leadership team for accreditation renewal with the San Francisco Archdiocese. Kelly also coordinated, planned and led student success team meetings for students with special needs. Furthermore, they created a PowerPoint presentation on the Step Up to Writing Program and developed step by step writing example packets based on grade level, to inform and educate fellow teachers on how to utilize this program with their students successfully. Lastly, they tracked and managed each individual student’s progress through SchoolSpeak data and communications system to insure overall comprehension and mastery.

Kelly Mix has a Bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in English Language and Literature, General. Kelly also has a degree from Notre Dame de Namur University in Elementary Education and Teaching.
