Senior Vice President - Global Key Accounts & Large Projects at Schindler Group

Michael Dobler has a diverse and extensive work experience. Michael started their career in 1989 as the Head of application & maintenance at Cerberus AG, where they were responsible for the product range and leading a team of 10 employees. In 1994, they joined Cerberus Hong Kong Ltd. as the Technical Director and Product Sales Manager for the entire Asia Pacific market.

Dobler then moved to Siemens Building Technologies Hong Kong China Ltd. in 1997, where they served as the CEO and Executive Vice President Asia Pacific. Michael successfully managed the regional division unit and implemented the company's strategy in Asia Pacific. Additionally, they were responsible for the operational turnaround and financial growth of the company in Hong Kong and China.

In 2003, Dobler joined Schmidlin AG Facade Technologies as the CEO, overseeing the operation and profitability of the company. Michael also played a key role in the M&A process and the setup of a joint venture in Abu Dhabi. Michael remained with the company until 2006 when they co-founded Ayton AG / Howasu AG, a start-up company specializing in mobile flood protection systems.

After their venture in the start-up industry, Dobler joined Schindler Elevator Corporation in 2010 as the Managing Director Branch Winterthur, where they ensured the smooth functioning of elevators and escalators. Michael then became the CEO of Schindler Ltd. United Kingdom in 2012 before taking on their current role as the Senior Vice President - Global Key Accounts & Large Projects at Schindler Group in 2015.

Michael Dobler has a B.SC.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil, which they obtained from 1982 to 1985. Michael also has an Exec. MBA degree in Business Administration from the University of St.Gallen, which they obtained from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, they have a Certified Global Account Manager degree in Key Account Management from the University of St.Gallen, which they obtained in 2016.
