Gregor Popp

Gregor Popp is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in research and development. Currently serving as the Group Manager for R&D Fiber Optic Rotary Joints at Schleifring GmbH since May 2003, Gregor manages R&D projects from concept to production and focuses on technology scouting and supplier selection. Prior to this role, Gregor worked as an R&D System Engineer at Dr. Schenk GmbH from May 2001 to April 2003, overseeing customer projects and developing applications for coating thickness measurements. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research and Development Engineer at BMW Group, where Gregor contributed to the development of transceivers and optical components. Gregor holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Feinwerk- und Mikrotechnik from Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, earned between 1991 and 1996.
