Doug Johnson

Doug Johnson, P.E., is a Senior Consultant at Schnabel Engineering, where they focus on dam safety, hydrology, and hydraulics. They previously served as the Dam Safety Supervisor at the Washington State Department of Ecology from 1985 to 2011. Following this role, Doug was the Portland Regional Engineer at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 2011 to 2025, overseeing a team responsible for hydropower dams across six Northwest states. Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington between 1980 and 1983.
