Nicholas Lopez is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in various high-profile roles. As a Founding Engineer at Scholarly Software since April 2024, Nicholas leads engineering initiatives. Prior to this, a Senior Software Engineer position at Cocoon was held from August 2023 to March 2024. Nicholas spent five years at Gusto, serving as a Software Engineer, and gained experience at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Software Engineer from September 2017 to July 2018, where contributions included developing a microservice with Flask and Elasticsearch. Additional experience includes a CSE Tutor role at UCSD and a Software Engineer Internship at NASA in 2016, focusing on creating interactive UI and researching scalable technologies. Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego, obtained in 2017.
