Brian Carter

Brian Carter serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations & Distribution at Scholastic since March 2022, overseeing a supply chain network comprising 40 distribution centers in the US and managing a $125M operating cost supporting $550M in annual revenue with up to 2,000 employees. With extensive experience at Scholastic since 1995, Brian has held various leadership roles including Vice President of Operations & Global Engineering, where responsibilities included directing operations across 56 distribution centers and a $105MM annual inventory spend. Brian has also been pivotal in developing corporate inventory strategies and facility design for both domestic and international supply chains and has a background in engineering roles at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Masters Certificate in Global Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.
