Mina Javaherbin

Mina Javaherbin is a distinguished author with extensive experience in writing award-winning picture books that focus on themes of diversity, social justice, and global citizenship. Since 2008, Mina has been associated with Candlewick Press as an author, creating impactful literature aimed at young audiences. In addition to a self-employed career since 1999, notable works include "Elephant In The Dark" and "Neyma, A Soccer Dream Come True," published through Farrar, Straus & Giroux. As an associate producer, writer, and consultant for Mina Javaherbin Films, contributions have further expanded into film and screenplay. Additionally, work with Disney Publishing Worldwide encompasses the creation of educational materials like "The Secret Message," used in U.S. schools. Mina holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from SCI-Arc.
