Marwan M.

Marwan M. has held various roles in the field of risk management and research since 1998. Their most recent position was as the Global Head of Risk - DMFI at Schonfeld, starting in July 2021. Before this, they founded SharpeValue in October 2020 and held the role of Founder until July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Global Head of Macro Risk at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. from October 2018 to October 2020. Marwan has also worked in risk management roles at Rokos Capital Management, COMAC Capital, Moore Capital Management, Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking, and INRIA, showcasing a strong background in risk analysis and research.

Marwan M. received their Lycée and Classes Préparatoires aux grandes écoles degree in Mathematics and Physics from Lycée Janson-de-Sailly in 1995. Marwan then went on to earn a M.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Ecole nationale des Travaux publics de l'Etat in 1998. Following this, Marwan pursued a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University in 1998 and completed their Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from École des Ponts ParisTech in 2002.
