Sam Shapiro is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of Quantitative Strategies Risk at Schonfeld since September 2022, where responsibilities include leadership roles on the Quantitative Strategies Allocation Committee and firmwide Risk Committee. Prior to this, Shapiro held the position of Vice President of Quantitative Investment Strategies at Goldman Sachs from September 2012 to August 2022, leading US portfolio strategies for Quantitative Equity Alpha portfolios. Previously, Shapiro worked as an Associate in Quantitative Investment Strategies at Sanford C. Bernstein and began a career at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation as a Summer Intern. Sam Shapiro holds a Master of Science in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Yeshiva University.
