Sean Richards

Sean Richards is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and operations within the technology and education sectors. As the Co-founding Non-Executive Director and Board Chair at Schoolbox since March 2014, Sean has played a pivotal role in developing an all-in-one learning management system for K–12 schools. Additionally, as a Board Member and Treasurer at Maintongoon Co-Operative since October 2023, Sean focuses on governance and financial management for the not-for-profit organization. Prior to these roles, Sean co-founded and served as CEO/COO of Alaress Pty Ltd, a digital agency, and founded Sitescene, a creative design studio. Sean’s early career included web development at The Ripe Group, complemented by a Bachelor of Information Systems, Computer Science and Marketing from La Trobe University and leadership training from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
