Elisha Willems serves as an Assistant Principal at KIPP New Orleans since July 2011, overseeing literacy development for PK-4 and leading data-driven initiatives to enhance instructional practices. In previous roles, Elisha has worked as an ELA Instructional Coach, Grade-Level Chair, and ELA Content Lead, focusing on improving teacher instruction and student outcomes. Additionally, Elisha is a Professional Learning Specialist with SchoolKit, facilitating training for educators nationwide, and previously contributed as a Foundations of Reading Innovator with TNTP. Elisha's educational background includes a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from LSU Shreveport, a Level 2 Professional Teacher License from The New Teacher Project, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Human Development from UC San Diego, complemented by a study experience at the University of Ghana.
