Jens Backes

Jens Backes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jens is currently working as a Senior Project Lead at SCHOTT since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Villeroy & Boch from 2019 to 2023, serving as the Lead of Cultural Change and later as a Project Manager Digital. Before that, Jens was the Co-founder and Head of Training at Agile Management Experts [AMX] from 2017 to 2018, where they specialized in agile management consulting and training. Jens also worked as a Senior Consultant at W+ST Investment Audits from 2016 to 2017, managing M&A projects and improving reporting structures. Additionally, Jens was an App Store Optimization Manager (Interim) at REWE Digital GmbH in 2016, where they analyzed app performance and developed optimization strategies. Jens began their career as an Artillery Officer in Bundeswehr Wir. Dienen. Deutschland. in 2004, overseeing the transformation of organizational structures.

Jens Backes holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Management and Administration from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, which was obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, Jens obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Management and Administration from the same institution, which was earned from 2007 to 2010. In 2017, Jens obtained a certification in Digital Strategies for Business: Leading the Next Generation Enterprise from Columbia Business School.
