Steffen Koehler

Steffen Koehler (PhD) has extensive work experience in research and development, as well as product development and management. Steffen started their career as a Project Manager at Agfa Healthcare in 2002, where they worked until 2004. Steffen then joined OSRAM, where they held various roles including Quality Task Force Leader, Production Manager, Senior Production Manager, Director Backend Technology, and Senior Director for Product Development. During their time at OSRAM, they led global teams in Europe, US, India, and China and successfully developed and launched new product platforms for LED lamps. In 2020, Steffen joined ams AG as the Vice President of R&D and later moved to SCHOTT as the Vice President of New Product Introduction in 2023.

Steffen Koehler (PhD) completed their education with a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Portland in 1995. Steffen then went on to pursue their Diplom in Physics at Heidelberg University from 1991 to 1997. Continuing their academic journey, Steffen obtained their Ph.D in 2000 from the Max Planck Institut of Quantum Physics, specializing in the field of Physics.
