Andreas Verras is a seasoned computational chemist with extensive experience in chemistry and design. Currently serving as Director and previously as Senior Principal Scientist and Principal Scientist at Schrödinger since October 2017, Andreas has a strong background from Merck, where roles included Associate Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist from April 2008 to October 2017. Andreas also held the position of Richard T Clark Fellow at Medicines for Malaria Venture for a brief period in late 2013 and worked as a Computational Chemist at Syngenta Crop Protection from October 2005 to March 2008. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and dual Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemistry and Creative Writing from Emory University.
